Legal Aid Clinic, World Vision unite to expand Justice

In a ground-breaking move to strengthen access to justice, the Legal Aid Clinic (LAC) and World Vision Uganda are exploring potential partnership to support vulnerable populations, particularly juveniles. In a meeting, both organisations discussed collaboration in advocacy, capacity building, and legal support systems.

The discussions highlighted key areas of cooperation, including joint advocacy for juvenile rights, specialised training for legal aid staff, and establishing a structured referral mechanism for vulnerable individuals. To cement the partnership, the organisations agreed to draft a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and set up a working group to drive implementation.

The initiative calls on stakeholders, legal practitioners, and the wider community to support the cause, emphasising that justice must be accessible to all, regardless of social status. A follow- up meeting is already in the pipeline to assess progress and explore additional opportunities. With this strategic alliance, LAC and World Vision are taking bold steps toward ensuring that justice is not a privilege but a right for every child and vulnerable individual.
